Vision for Volunteering announcement: we have funding!
February 12, 2024
We're so excited to announce that the Vision for Volunteering partnership has received £600,000 from the government to take forward the Vision, including recruitment of three paid roles.
Since the Vision for Volunteering launched in May 2022, we have been delighted with the response from individuals and organisations who share our vision for an inclusive, collaborative and thriving volunteering landscape. At NAVCA, we have been talking to our members to help them implement the Vision locally, and we've had a really positive response.
Now, we’re able to share with you the news that we have received £600,000 of government investment towards the next phase of Vision for Volunteering! We are delighted that the Department for Culture, Media and Sport have recognised the importance of this work by backing the Vision. It sends a vital signal about the importance of volunteering in England.
By supporting the Vision for Volunteering, whether that’s through contributing to its development or simply joining the thousands of people that have signed up to receive email updates, you have helped us demonstrate the need for investment in taking the Vision forwards.
Today, the Vision for Volunteering partners are launching recruitment for a new team, who's mission will be to inspire individuals and organisations around the country to develop the Vision for Volunteering and make it a reality. There will be three new paid positions: Project Lead, Network and Engagement Officer, and Learning and Storytelling Officer. We invite applications from people passionate about creating a better experience for volunteers in England.
We look forward to sharing more details with you in the new year. In the meantime, please do share our job adverts and use the hashtag #VisionForVolunteering to share your thoughts on social media.
